Ahoy Fellow Tuggers

We all know it has been a bizarre several years! Since our last reunion in Troy, NY in 2018, we have all
struggled with COVID, flu, and all our other medical issues, inflation, and on it goes. I’m sure that
many of you, if not ALL, assumed the CGTA had “vanished.”

As for the Tug Association, that reunion’s membership vote for president was won by Active Duty,
(then) LCDR Justin Vandenheuvel. Since then he has advanced to CDR and had several duty changes
which have kept him from taking over, and I add another five years as your prez. (For what it’s
worth, I beat FDR’s years in the White House – 12 – with 18 for the CGTA). My pleasure to continue
as prez until Justin reaches a solid unit when we could have a “Change of Command.” With a bit of
luck we should be able to complete that by Spring and before a hopeful reunion in 2024!

YES – we are still in business after 20 years!

Semper Paratus
CWO3 C. A. (Sandy) Schwaab, USCG Retired, Prez.

Fellow Tuggers

We are trying to complete an update of our membership email list. Over the last few months, we have sent out bulk emails to all our members; each time, many dozens of addresses currently on file have bounced back as undeliverable (the list IS getting shorter). To ensure that we can get information to you through emails, we need to have accurate addresses. I would ask that all members who have not received an email from the Tug Association in the last 6 months to please go to the About section, click on Contacts, click on Membership, and send me your current email address. Thank you.
